A brick or two lay crooked in the grout –
Heavy as they are, a burden
As much as I’d like to get close,
I feel my weight – crushed in on ribs
Low-tide waves and a colony of seaweed,
A vessel for lost crabs (or seemingly misplaced)
Anyway, they cling and
Fight to stay on
Board their chlorophyl’d rafts
Pray tell a crash, gentle on a coast, new home
A brick or two lay crooked,
They need to be removed, replaced, destroyed
Or otherwise dealt with
